This is a very BIG thank you to four people. My two sisters, Audrey and Stephanie, my older brother Del, and Mr. G (the youth leader at my church) all posted a link to my blog on Facebook, helping me get over 200 page views in one day! I feel very confident that I will get more than 1,000 total page views by the end of October, so I am raising the goal to 1,500.

P.S. If anyone else also shared the link to my blog to Facebook and I didn't mention your name, I'm sorry. These four are the only people my mom told me posted the link to my blog. I would check to see if anyone else did myself, but I don't have a Facebook account.

Nutcracker

I just found out that I got the part of a snowflake in the nutcracker!!!! I'M SO HAPPY! :D

I'll be finding out what part (if any) I get in the Nutcracker this year! Once I find out, I'll let you all know. :)

Just got back from the Chocolate Walk! It was so much fun. We walked around to different stores and got chocolate with these little tickets provided by Pregnancy Helpline. This walk was raising money against abortion.

A short story I wrote...

Maranatha is such a fun place! I go with my family every year for a family reunion. It’s a family Bible camp about three hours away on Lake Michigan. While I’m there we have a Bible class every morning and evening for the whole week. This year was my first year being in the Teen Classes, even though I’m not a teenager yet. I felt really nervous about being in that class full of “big kids”, but luckily I had my cousin, Leanna, who had already been in this class the year before.

The very first day of the week I woke up at around 8:00 or 8:30 so I could have time to get ready for the classes that start at 9:30. Once I had eaten breakfast and gotten dressed, I sat around for a while because I had extra time. I must have lost track of time because before I knew it, it was already 9:28! I got up as fast as I could, put my shoes on, yelled “Bye, I’m leaving for class!” to my mom because she was still in bed, and rushed out the door. It was much chillier than I had expected outside. I almost felt as if the air was nipping at my arms, and it was also sprinkling rain. It seemed like the kind of day that could make anyone grumpy and sad, but I was too excited for the new class.

 I ran down the concrete outdoor hallway  with doors to other rooms to my left and the railing on my right. We were on the top floor of the three story building. It reminds me a lot of a motel but much nicer, at least on the inside of the rooms.  I was walking quickly toward the steps, and suddenly I heard my friend Kayla’s  brother yelling much louder than he needed to, “Get back here and brush your teeth!” at the youngest of the boys in their family. Just as he said this I remembered… even with all of the extra time I had, I had forgotten to brush my teeth! Even though I knew it wasn’t that big of a deal I for some unknown reason turned around to go back and brush my teeth. After brushing my teeth I grabbed a sweater, and started back to class again, but this time I was running.

 I walked toward the door to Lebanon Lodge and was so happy to see my cousin standing at the door with one of her friends waiting for me because I really didn’t want to walk into class on my own. As the three of us walked into the building, down the aisle of seats full of teenagers, there was music playing and everyone was talking. We found a few open seats near the front of the room and sat down. The room was nice and warm, and there was sun shining through the windows. I felt a slight tap on my shoulder as if someone was trying to get my attention. So I turned around, and there sitting with the silliest face she had ever put on, it was Kayla! She’s always coming up with silly faces. I guess it’s just her personality. We were both so excited to see each other. We talked a lot about how much had gone on this year, but  the subject changed quickly to Kelly.

Kelly is another one of my close friends at Maranatha. She hadn’t shown up yet and the teachers were about to start teaching. We hoped she remembered the fact that we were in a new building this year. But we had to forget about that because class was beginning.

The counselors put on a funny skit for us to get to know them. Then we split into groups by grade, of boys and girls.  My group walked through the crisp cold air to the lodge. The lodge was a really nice and homey place built out of stone and wood.  My group (6^th to 7^th grade girls)

scooted into a little area by a fire place to sit and do our lesson.

About three days later I walked into class again, feeling very upset about how cold it had been, and that Kelly had still not shown up. Kayla and I were sure that she must not be coming this year. As I walked into class, yet again, I found a seat next to Leanna. Then suddenly, a girl with bright red hair and freckles turned around. It was Kelly! I couldn’t believe it! I was so happy! Nothing could make me sad now that I knew she would be here for the rest of the week, even if the weather was terrible.

Bad Hair Days

One of my friends requested that I do a blog post on what to do on a bad hair day.

To be honest I don't have bad hair days that often, but when I do, I usually just put my hair up in a pony tail, and that's that. The friend who requested this topic has really short hair, so she suggested I explain how to fix  messy hair, if your hair is really short like hers. Since I didn't know personally, she's helping me write a lot of this. She made up a little jingle saying "You just put on a hat, it's as simple as that!" (LOL :P)

I hoped this helped to anyone having "bad hair days."

I was in my room, and I saw A big spider, that was really fast! So I grabbed a book, and squished it! (I usually don't like killing spider, because they scare me so much, but I really didn't want this one under my bed!) I had it under a book, that I was standing on. But then, I saw a spider on the ceiling! So I called my mom in to kill that one, because I was standing on the book, and I couldn't reach the spider. The spider I had been standing on top of, MUST be dead... but when I lifted the book up, THE SPIDER WASN'T THERE, AND NEVER HAD BEEN! EKKKK!!! i feel so scared of my room now!

Sorry I haven't posted anything in a while. It's just with school and everything, I don't have much time to.

One day of school down.... 269 to go!

Just so you all know... I'm home schooled :D :) :D :)   I like being home-schooled, but sometimes people make fun of me for it! I have no idea why! I'd much rather do school in my P.J.s, do school sitting on the couch, and get done at 11:00 (a.m.) everyday! And most of all I don't have to worry about bullies, and things like that :D I LOVE BEING HOME-SCHOOLED!

Today is the last Friday of Summer vacation :'(

My grandparents have been living with my family for the past 5 months! They came up from Georgia, because they couldn't live on there own anymore. They have been living in our living room! Just a month or two ago my grandma passed away. She was 94 years old! In her last few days, she could hardly talk (well at least we couldn't understand her.)! I miss her :(. Well... the main reason I bring of this subject is because,  my grandpa just moved into a senior center in our town. Even though I'm sad he had to move out, I'm glad to have my living room back!

Today, Molly is going to the vet, for her weekly checkup. She seems to be doing much better.
She has been on medicine for a week. She's acting much more herself!!! YAY!!!

Molly has been doing MUCH better! I'm so happy :D Her medicine seems to be working very well!  She isn't laying around all day, she's eating,and drinking now, and she's being more herself :)

Dance is starting very soon, and I'm SO exited!!! A few days ago I went to the dance school and got my leotard, tights, and new shoes! In the year after this year, I'm starting pointe!

                                      

I'm also VERY exited for the new school year! I'll be in 7th grade this year! There's so many things I'm looking foward to, like... Youth Groups, Ballet, Home School group classes, and SO many other things!

We found out Molly has a growth on the inside of her neck , and it makes it very difficult for her to breath. This is also the reason she isn't eating. We aren't sure if she's going to be ok. PLEASE pray for her! I know she's just a dog, but I love her so much <3

Molly Update:

Molly has gotten a little better, and has been drinking more water. YAY! Anyways... we still don't know what's wrong with her, but we are bringing her to the vet today!!!  I miss the old Molly :(

My dog has an upset stomach today :(

I don't really have anything to type about...ummm...
 well I love ballet, and baby ducks ^.^  I can most definitely wait for school to start!   Ugh!  I really have no idea when school starts for me, but that's a good thing. If I did know, I wouldn't be able to help myself from counting down the days! (it makes it much worse to count the days down, at least it does for me.)  I hope you likes my first post!
